It is that time of year, AIDS Walk is upon us. I hope you will consider donating toward my goal. Please know I am extra appreciative - as Clinical Manager, one of my responsibilities is securing funds, and I am always quite aware that everyone has choices to make about their charitable donations.
I also want to note that we just marked Long Term Survivor Day on 6/5/18. This is a fairly new Awareness Day, because the idea, and actuality of long-term survivorship is a relatively new change. It is also a very welcome change. I never imagined when I began volunteering in the HIV community in the early 90s that we would ever be in a place to celebrate such a day, certainly not in my lifetime. It is humbling and inspiring. I have given long thought to the people I have known on this journey - the people upon whose shoulders I stand, the people who I served, my colleagues who taught me so much, or whom I had the opportunity to teach. I feel so lucky to do work that calls to me every day,
Many thanks, and love to all
